Bio

I'm an aid worker and have worked for the United Nations since 2005 in Geneva, Bangui in the Central African Republic, Nairobi (covering Somalia), Jerusalem (covering Palestine), and now in New York, with UNHCR, OCHA and UNSCO. I'm currently working in OCHA's evaluation unit and have previously worked for the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) where I led the underfunded emergencies window and worked in the Performance, Monitoring and Policy Section. I have mostly worked in humanitarian financing, including with the pooled funds in the Central African Republic, Somalia and Yemen, but also in field coordination and programming, policy and planning, monitoring and evaluation and, in the occupied Palestinian territory, development coordination. I studied Political Science at the University of Konstanz (MA, PhD), Charles University in Prague, and the University of North Texas (MS) with a focus on conflict resolution, human rights research and empirical data analysis.
