SAMEA 7th Biennial Conference

Overview

SAMEA will host its 7th Biennial Conference, themed “Shaping M&E for a Sustainable Future”. As part of the theme, key strands are as follows:

Better Evidence for Public Policy and Implementation: which focuses on how public sector institutions utilise evidence for policy and decision making in the interest of society.

MERL Tech: reviews how technology is playing an important role in shaping methods, tools and accountability requirements.

Investing for Impact: explores the emerging role M&E plays in the for-profit sector in assessing whether or not corporate investments into society have made an impact.

Evaluation, Climate Change and Resilience: engages with the way in which Evaluation has played a role in understanding Climate Change and a Resilient Society.

M&E and Non-Profits: synthesises how M&E is carried out in the Non-Profit sector and how it enables learning and shapes current practice and is adapting to changes brought about by technology, donor and beneficiary requirements.

M&E Skills in a Changing World: examines how M&E as a profession is changing based on the skills demands for a 21st century professional and evolving roles individuals with M&E skills engage in.
