UNFPA Evaluation Policy (2019)

Overview

The UNFPA revised Evaluation Policy 2019 was endorsed by the Executive Board in January 2019. The evaluation policy sets the vision and purpose of evaluation at UNFPA. It builds upon the existing policy to better reflect the current operational landscape in which UNFPA operates. In this way, it positions the evaluation function to contribute to UNFPA priorities and to ICPD agenda, SDGs and UN reform.
 
To ensure that evaluation supports accountability, evidence-based decision-making and learning, the evaluation policy also clarifies distinct roles and responsibilities for all organizational units of UNFPA.
