Efficiency and Effectiveness of Point-of Use Technologies in Emergency Drinking Water: An Evaluation of PUR and Aquatab in Rural Bangladesh
Overview
The objectives of the study are as follows:
1. To train extension officials about the use of PUR and Aquatabs in flood and
other conditions.
2. To assess the efficacy of those two water purification method (POU) based on
UNICEF-DPHE specified outlines.
3. To assess the effectiveness and acceptability of PUR and Aquatab in
UNICEF-DPHE suggested areas.
4. To disseminate the experiences gained based on a workshop (organized by DPHE
and UNICEF) and a report submitted to UNICEF.
