FAO’s programme in Bangladesh is one of the largest among member countries in terms of number and volume of projects. In consultation with the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (RAP) and the FAO Country Office in Bangladesh, the Office of Evaluation (OED) conducted an evaluation of the Bangladesh country programme to provide input into the preparation of the next CPF.
This evaluation covers FAO’s work between 2011 and 2015 in order to align with the start of Bangladesh’s Sixth Five-Year Plan. It assesses FAO’s contributions towards achieving the national development goals set out in the Sixth Five-Year Plan, and also considers the national priorities of the Seventh Five-Year Plan which targets Bangladesh to become a middle-income country by 2021.
