Overview
The final evaluation of the YS program has a two‐fold purpose, namely to support both accountability and learning. The evaluation is hence not only seeking to assess the accountability of the YS program with regard to reaching intended results (i.e. has the program actually done what, and how, it was supposed to do?), but also tries to draw out good practices and lessons learned within the area of youth inclusive finance towards informing future decision‐making regarding the scalability and/or replication of the approach piloted by the YS program (i.e. what seems to have worked and why as well as under which circumstances/conditions?). As this pilot program is coming to an end, the evaluation was commissioned in order to assess how the program has performed with regard to its intentions with a view to informing the design of a potential successor program (YS Global).
