he evaluation found that LINKS is highly relevant to UNESCO’s mandate and strategic objectives. It is also of clear pertinence to the inclusion objectives pursued by UNESCO’s main resources partners and embedded in the 2030 Agenda. LINKS has made lasting contributions to global policy processes related to climate change and biodiversity, and in parallel, established a network of renowned transdisciplinary scientists working on indigenous peoples’ issues. It has also built and nurtured a strong trust-based relationship with a network of IPLC organizations in many regions of the world. These efforts have laid the foundation for the Programme to be recognized as a hub of expertise on indigenous knowledge, among its partners. Inadequate collaboration, however, between the Programme and other UNESCO entities, including within the Natural Sciences Sector where it resides, could limit its reach and result in missed opportunities
