Overview
This report presents the results of an independent evaluation of the United Nations Free & Equal campaign, which was launched by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in July 2013 and raises awareness of sexual, gender and bodily diversity, and promote equal rights and fair treatment of lesbian, gay, bi, trans and intersex people.
This campaign has been OHCHR’s longest running public information campaign while also being the first sustained OHCHR human rights-related public information initiative to focus on a single thematic area. The UN Free & Equal campaign is implemented in partnership with other UN agencies, as well as by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex and other human rights civil society organizations and other stakeholders – all of whom help shape and disseminate campaign materials.
