Overview
The Peacebuilding Working Group and the Humanitarian Evaluation Working Group were merged at the UNEG Annual General Meeting 20205 to become the HDP Nexus Working Group.
Previously, the Peacebuilding Working Group had focused on advancing the role of evaluation in conflict resolution, reconciliation, and the promotion of peace. The Group worked to evaluate peacebuilding initiatives, assess their effectiveness, and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve strategies aimed at reducing violence, fostering social cohesion, and building sustainable peace. The Group brought together practitioners, evaluators, and researchers to develop methodologies suited for complex conflict-affected environments.
