Evaluating Policy Influence Stocktaking Report
Working Group
Overview
The UNEG Evaluating Policy Influence Stocktaking Report was prepared by the UNEG Working Group on Evaluating Policy Influence. It was approved as a UNEG Reference Document at the UNEG Annual General Meeting 2023.
Its purpose is to:
- Take stock of different definitions/understandings of policy support and types of policy influence interventions within the UN system, in order to derive commonalities;
- Review existing frameworks, tools and methods for monitoring and evaluating policy influence interventions across the UN system;
- Identify good practices, relevant methods, and areas to improve the UN system’s approach to monitoring and evaluating policy influence interventions, thus contributing to strengthening the UN system’s policy support to Member States.
