In 2024, the UNSDG System-Wide Evaluation Office (SWEO) led a pilot cross-system initiative aiming to provide user-friendly mapping and summary products of United Nations evaluation evidence to support engagement in the 2024 Quadrennial Comprehensive Policy Review (QCPR) process, and ultimately contribute to more effective UN development system support to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
This initiative highlights the value of mapping and summarizing evaluation evidence across the UN system. This learning paper highlights the process followed, introduces the summaries and maps that were developed and the main lessons learned for improving UN evaluations and policy-making.
