The survey aims at providing sufficient data through segmenting the public
according to their awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards
immunization in general and polio specifically that could be used to develop
the appropriate communication mix strategies. The specific objectives are:
1- Highlighting key KAP gaps from the 2002 and 2003 communication surveys data
sets.
2- Provide a post campaign evaluation of any change in the public awareness,
knowledge, attitudes and practices regarding POLIO vaccination and the public
participation in the National Immunization Day (NID) that could have resulted
from direct exposure to the communication campaign.
3- Identification and profiling of the missed children of the September 2004
NID campaign.
4- Presenting misconceptions and refusal reasons.
