UNICEF has updated food education materials and guidelines aimed at families with children aged between 6 and 24 months. These resources are part of the "welcome kit" delivered to all newborns by the Uruguayan government. The goal is to provide accurate nutrition information in a timely manner to improve children's and families' habits, as obesity among children younger than 5 is in worrying levels. The evaluation will look for changes in families' attitudes and behaviors using a longitudinal design. It will also look into pediatricians' current attitudes and behaviors.
