To evaluate the impact of the programme to identify the strengths and gaps in
the existing programme, and to take corrective measures to strengthen the
programme and make it sustainable.
The objectives of the study were as follows:
• To estimate the prevalence of anaemia (mild, moderate, severe) among the
adolescent girls separately for urban and rural areas.
• To identify the enabling factors and constraints related to procurement,
supply chain, availability at the community level and the compliance.
• To assess the level of knowledge, attitude and practices of adolescent girls
regarding anaemia and its prevention and management.
