15. The main purpose of the evaluation is to provide impartial and independent evidence to assess the extent to which the structured PSS programme promotes the well-being of conflict-affected children mainly on mental health, addressing the stresses and psychosocial well-being and the extent to which this programme is well-positioned for the linkage between the humanitarian context and the recovery and development context.
UNICEF supported psychosocial support interventions are implemented in partnership with various National and International NGOs as well as the Department of Labor and Social Affairs in several Governorates of Federal Iraq and Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Over 25 implementing partners were involved in implementation of psychosocial activities in 2019 and a similar number of organizations are currently running psychosocial support services.
