The evaluation the 'UNICEF and Disaster Risk Reduction: A Child-Centered Approach’ Project is a summative-formative evaluation that aims to:
1. Determine the replicability, relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of the child-centered community-based DRR project in five municipalities across the Philippines.
2. Document the particularities of the child-centered multi-sectoral DRR approach in three focus LGUs of the project.
3. Identify evidence, if any, on the applicability of implementing a child-centered DRR approach amongst LGUs which can be used to advocate with the Government of the Philippines to adopt and scale up, and
4. Come up with lessons learned and make recommendations that can be used for future DRR interventions in the Philippines.
This evaluation will be conducted as part of UNICEF’s commitment to MAC Foundation, partner funding organization, at the end of the project in 2018.
