Persons with disabilities are often faced with a workplace environment that is not adapted to their needs and requirements, creating barriers to their equal participation. Reasonable Accommodation plays a vital role in levelling the playing field for persons with disabilities by providing modifications or adjustments to enable them to perform their job duties effectively and participate fully in the workplace. UNICEF has made the inclusion of people with disabilities a priority in both its programmatic work as well as within the organization. UNICEF’s Reasonable Accommodation Fund therefore plays a central role in fulfilling this ambition. The purpose of this evaluation was to assess if the Fund meets the needs and expectations of all UNICEF personnel that require its support. The evaluation assessed the extent to which the Fund meets relevant international standards and good and proven practices; its relevance within the organization and coherence with other related tools and policies; whether it is clearly and consistently organized and communicated; and its main achievements to date.
