To review the state of implementation of the BDR programme and to highlight the
results produced by programme so far as well as any constraints experienced.
More specifically the review had the following objectives.
- To assess the relevance of birth registration in the realisation of the
child's right in Ugandan context, MPO, MTSP, WFFC;
- To appraise the realisation of a child's right to a name and nationality as
spelled out in the BDR project proposal and MTSP;
- To appraise the effectiveness and efficiency of the BDR intervention and its
inter-linkages with the other child focused interventions at LC1 level in
particular; and
- To appraise the effectiveness of the support from the national level BDR
Task Force and related institutions.
