The primary purposes are to (i) enhance accountability through an independent assessment of the contributions of selected strategies and UNICEF positioning to the ECHO WASH programme in humanitarian settings; (ii) identify gaps and key bottlenecks; and (iii) facilitate organizational learning, aiding UNICEF Afghanistan, partners, and ECHO in assessing achieved results and gauging satisfaction levels among the affected population. The evaluation is expected to provide valuable insights and lessons applicable to the country and the region when implementing WASH projects in complex emergencies.
